Dr. David Stern has served as Experity’s CEO since the company was formed in 2019. Stern founded Practice Velocity in 2002 with the goal of providing urgent care-focused technology solutions to the fledgling industry. He was also a partner at Physicians Immediate Care, operating 20 urgent care centers in the Midwest. David knows firsthand the challenges that clinics face as they attempt to deliver the best patient experience, stay relevant, and be profitable.

Born and raised in suburban Minneapolis, Phyllis has spent her professional career in the world of billing and compliance—guiding teams around the obstacles and over the hurdles that interfere with full compliance. She believes that education and communication are key to creating and nurturing a culture of compliance. “Everyone wants to do the right thing. My role is to make sure everyone knows the right thing—both within the company and our clients.” As the company’s Compliance and Privacy Officer, Phyllis supports the company’s RCM efforts by providing education, helping to develop best practices and standards policies, and ensuring compliant documentation, not only for Experity, but for all of our customers.

According to EMR Solutions Manager, Meghan Bowar, the most exciting part of working in the urgent care space is watching the software evolve in ways that have a positive impact on patient care. And during her seven years with Experity, she’s been a part of many of these changes. Recently, she’s been working with the team to raise the urgent care bar with a new ePrescribe solution, minimum-click charting, and preventative medicine workflows. Meghan’s home base is Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
