Named a CMS Health Tech Ecosystem Early Adopter in the “Conversational AI Assistants” and “Kill the Clipboard” categories, Experity elevates on-demand care through intentional tech innovation
Experity, the market-leading on-demand healthcare technology platform trusted by nearly half of all urgent care clinics in the U.S., today announced it has been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as an Early Adopter in the CMS Health Tech Ecosystem. Experity was named in two key patient-facing categories, Conversational AI Assistants and Kill the Clipboard, and is the only urgent care platform represented in either cohort.
The CMS Health Tech Ecosystem is a national initiative designed to modernize the U.S. healthcare experience by empowering Medicare beneficiaries through greater access to innovative health technologies. Built on collaboration across providers, payers, EHRs, app developers, and technology companies, the initiative aims to create a more interoperable, connected, and patient-centered healthcare system.
Experity joins a select group of organizations helping define the future of patient-facing digital healthcare experiences. The Conversational AI Assistants cohort includes Anthropic, Microsoft AI, and OpenAI. The Kill the Clipboard cohort includes Apple, Google, and Samsung, among others.
Experity’s inclusion in both categories reflects the company’s commitment to building technology that simplifies patient-provider communication, reduces friction throughout the care journey, and helps patients more easily access the right care at the right time.
“Being recognized by CMS as a Health Tech Ecosystem Early Adopter validates that Care Agent is delivering the kind of connected, patient-preferred experience the industry needs to thrive,” said Jonathan Moss, EVP of Patient Engagement at Experity. “To be recognized alongside innovators like Anthropic, OpenAI, Apple, and Google demonstrates that Experity can keep pace with the world’s leading technology organizations to make a meaningful impact on urgent care.”
In the Conversational AI Assistants category, participating organizations commit to developing AI-powered assistants that connect with CMS Aligned Networks or personal health record apps to securely access relevant health information and deliver more personalized, informed support experiences. In the Kill the Clipboard category, participating organizations pledge to enable patients to retrieve and share health records digitally through QR codes or Smart Health Cards/Links using FHIR bundles, reducing the need for repetitive forms and manual intake processes.
As CMS continues to establish new interoperability standards and patient engagement frameworks, participation in these workgroups positions Experity alongside leading healthcare and technology organizations helping influence how future patient experiences are built, connected, and scaled across the industry.
The CMS Health Tech Ecosystem includes more than 700 organizations that have pledged support for a more interoperable and patient-centered healthcare system. Early Adopters are organizations already delivering real-world tools and capabilities aligned with CMS’s goals.
