Effective 9/1/25, The Division of TennCare will no longer process paper crossover claims. Any paper claims received will be returned to providers. Since timely filing of crossover claims with dates of service through 12/31/23 has been exceeded, any claims received would be denied.

Please submit crossover claims with dates of service on or after 1/1/24 to the member assigned MCO. If needed, please reach out to the member assigned MCO using the following contact information.

UHC: Chat with a live advocate 7 a.m.–7 p.m. CT from the UnitedHealthcare Provider Portal or call Provider Services at 800-690-1606

Wellpoint: Provider Services 833-731-2154 or visit the Contact Us section at the bottom of WLP’s provider website provider.wellpoint.com/tn for up-to-date contact information.

BCBS: Please call the Provider Service line for your patient’s plan:

BlueCare – 1-800-468-9736

TennCareSelect – 1-800-276-1978

CoverKids – 1-800-924-7141

  • QMB-only members will be assigned to the TennCareSelect plan, and the claims will crossover from Medicare or the Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) to TennCareSelect for copay, coinsurance, and deductible payment. Please contact TennCareSelect for information or questions on QMB-only members’ claims with dates of service on or after 1/1/2024.
