Practice Velocity volunteers paint and clean the school July 17-20 and July 24-27

Machesney Park, Ill. (JULY 18, 2017) “ Practice Velocity employees are volunteering to spruce up Concordia Lutheran School, 7424 N. Second Street in Machesney Park, as a part of PV Fest, the company’s annual volunteer event.

Volunteers from Practice Velocity, a local urgent care software and billing company, will be at the school July 17-20 and July 24-27 to complete the following projects:

  • Paint halls
  • Clean out and paint classrooms
  • Paint playground equipment
  • Mulch the playground
  • Wash walls in the gym and lunchroom
  • Other small projects as needed

“The volunteers from Practice Velocity are doing fantastic work,” said Joel Koehler, principal of Concordia Lutheran School. “The employees are really friendly, and their efforts are really helping us set a new direction for the school and establish positive building blocks for our students.”

Each year, Practice Velocity employees identify projects and decide as a company how they would like to give back to the community. Previously, Practice Velocity employees cleaned up around the Machesney Park Mall, where the company is located, and built a new fence at Gigi’s Playhouse, also in Machesney Park.

“Most Practice Velocity employees live in the Rockford area and are raising families here, so our commitment to the community runs deep,” says Dr. David Stern, Practice Velocity CEO. “We hope the work we do at Concordia Lutheran helps make the school a brighter, better place for the kids, their families, and the school faculty and staff.”

MEDIA OPPORTUNITY: To set up a time to get photos and b-roll, interview PV employees, and interview the school principal, please contact Mika Doyle at or 815-986-1643.
