Topics include defining common urgent care contracting terms; differentiating payers and finding the best payers; targeting specific employers and patients based on contracts; maximizing revenue based of volume versus rates; and devising strategies for successful contract negotiations. Q&A will occur after the main presentation.
Presenter Description:
Tammy Mallow has been bringing her expertise in practice management consultation services to DocuTAP for over six years. Her role involves helping customers negotiate the world of insurance payer contracts and physician credentialing. Her background is an impressive mix of consulting support for start-up and existing urgent cares, along with health systems.
Her former roles include Corporate Director of Professional Service Management for the Schumacher Group—and Director of Business Operations for Family Medical Walk-in Clinics, Inc. for over 10 years. Her vast knowledge includes implementation (and analysis) of workflow, revenue cycles, health plan contracts, enrollment strategy, staffing, and related PM practices.
Tammy also helps with the development of compliance programs—and policies and procedures. An active participant in the urgent care community, she is a member of national urgent care organizations, is a published author, and performs regular speaking engagements.
