Hi, my name is Justin Nicholl. I am the Integration Specialist here at Practice Velocity, and we’ve been getting a lot of calls and questions about ordering x-rays and using the teleradiology interface to receive the over read reports. So that’s what I want to go over with you today. So let’s dive right in.

So if you do not use the Vistech or Radlink integration with your teleradiology services integration, then your over read reports from teleradiology services are going to come in unreconciled. So we can start at the beginning here. I’m going to open my patient’s chart and go to the x-ray tab. See here that I have two x-rays that I’ve ordered. The provider has put in their initial review of the images, so now we’re just waiting for the over read report from the teleradiology services. So we can go ahead and close the chart.

Once teleradiology services is sent back the over read reports for those, I’m going to get this notification here at the top in my notification bar that says two unreconciled x-rays. So I’m going to click on that, and here are my reports for each x-ray that I ordered. Now it’s important to note that if you’ve ordered more than one x-ray on a patient, they need to be sent to teleradiology services from your x-ray machine separately, so you get a report back for each. So we’ll start here with the toe x-ray. And you want to make sure you take note of which study this is, especially since we have two for this patient. So I’m going to click the search box; brings up that same patient information. Click the x-ray history link. And I need to choose which x-ray this report belongs to. So on the previous screen we saw this was for toe number one, so I’m going to click on toe number one. It’s going to ask me if I’m sure I want to merge this report into the chart, and I’m going to click on yes. It’s going to take me to the chart to review the radiologist’s impression. If I want to see the full report I can click this hyperlink down here. Otherwise I’m going to go ahead and accept the radiologist’s reading. And save and close the chart again. Go back to my unreconciled x-rays and do the second one. Now that I’ve received both of my reports, I’ve reviewed them, and accepted the radiologist’s reading, my tabs turned green and I’m done.

So, that’s how it’s done. So, if you have any questions or would like to inquire about these services or integrations, you can contact us as Customer Support 866-995-9863, or you can email us at
