It was very heartening to see urgent cares across the country join the public awareness efforts of Urgent Care Awareness Week over the last few days, including sharing links to UCAOA’s website, offering discounted flu shots, posting urgent care factoids on Facebook, and submitting press releases to their local media. Educating the public, including primary care physicians and EDs, is crucial to ensure the important role urgent care plays in our nation’s healthcare is fully understood.
