Celebrating Excellence: 2024 Limelight Award Winners

The 2024 Limelight Awards recognize outstanding individuals in the urgent care industry who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, innovation, and impact. During the 2025 Urgent Care Connect conference we shared the video above to announce our 2024 winners. Read on to meet the recipients and learn how they impact their clinics and the industry:
One of the key attributes we seek in candidates is dedication to their work and operational excellence. This is exemplified by Ashton Anderson, the recipient of the Staff Excellence Award. Ashton, an advanced practice registered nurse at Baptist Urgent Care, earned this award for her exceptional speed, thoroughness, and versatility in managing various roles from triage to lab work. Known affectionately as “The Flash” at her clinic, Ashton is celebrated for her compassionate approach to patient care, where she listens, laughs, and cries with her patients. Her dedication sets a high standard for her colleagues.
Leadership is another crucial quality we look for in candidates. Tyrone Carter, the regional manager at CareNow Urgent Care, received the Leadership Award for his strong commitment to both his team and patients. Tyrone embodies the HCA motto of improving human life, applying it to both patients and coworkers. His ability to train new staff, manage multiple clinics, and remove barriers to success with kindness and wisdom makes him a leader everyone aspires to be.
Innovation and a forward-thinking mindset are essential qualities for candidates at Experity. John McNulty, CEO and managing partner at Gateway and Mercy Urgent Care, was honored with the Visionary Award for his innovative contributions to the urgent care industry. John’s use of molecular point-of-care instruments has significantly reduced wait times and improved efficiency, making his clinics the top choice in Owensboro, KY. His dedication to excellence and ability to inspire those around him have set him apart as a true visionary in the field.
These award winners exemplify the best in urgent care, showcasing their commitment to patient care, leadership, and innovation. Congratulations to Ashton, Tyrone, and John for their well-deserved recognition!
